Matt has been crafting his singing voice since the age of three when his uncle secretly recorded him doing a rendition of new editions 'candy girl'.

Since then through his late teen years, his family can recall him knowing lyrics to every popular rnb song while annoininting himself and fully believing that he was destined to be the fifth member of Jodeci.

Songwriting, however always seemed to elude Matt as he'd forget the melody to his tunes...that is until he purchased his first tape recorder in 1998.

Shortly thereafter, in 1999, with about a dozen songs in tow, Matt linked up with musician and budding producer, Jose Martinez and the pair began writing producing and recording their own original songs. With the addition of a third member, and adopting the monkier '33rd Dimension', the trio began working on an rnb/rock fusion concept album but parted ways due to creative differences in 2003.

Since then,  Matt has kept busy  as a background singer, wedding singer and feature performer on his musicians friends projects, all while writing and conceptualizing his debut album.

​

After 10 years of delays, setbacks, hard work and perseverance Hard N B is finally here.

Hard N B, Matt's labor of love is a collection of songs written and recorded by Matt that is rooted in an rnb while showcasing his affinity for hard beats and explicit lyrics.

​

Songs like Single, My Lil Latin Mami, I Get High, and One of These Days are indulgent self delights that appeal to the animal male instinct and offer no apologies for their machismo,  while You & I, Don't You Go, Without You (parts 1&2) and I Wanna Make Love are the type of love songs which even out the tone of the record and show a softer side for the ladies.
